Jaid Black is the USA Today bestselling pseudonym of Tina Engler—a voracious reader, fan, and author of all things science fiction and steamy romance. Ms. Engler was officially recognized by Romantic Times Magazine with their first ever Trail Blazer award for being the mastermind of adult (erotic) romance as you know and love it today, as well as for the pivotal role she played in popularizing the e-book. Engler lives and writes in northeast Ohio where she is the proud Cat Lady to one high-maintenance feline baby (as well as two very awesome—and human!—adult daughters.) For fun, Tina enjoys painting, traveling, and experiencing new people, food, and cultures.
Writing as Jaid Black, Engler’s books have received numerous distinctions, including a nomination for the Henry Miller award for the best literary sex scene written in the English language. Committed to penning heroines from diverse backgrounds, most of her novels and novellas are a hybrid of sci-fi and adult romance. She is a proud member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA) and The Authors Guild.

Marc Antony left his wife while she was pregnant with my (great-many-times-over) grandmother, Antonia the Minor, to rekindle his romance with Cleopatra. The Egyptian queen was willing to finance Antony's army, which sought to destroy Augustus' empire. Antonia the Minor married Nero Claudius Drusus, the military commander who eventually defeated and destroyed her father's army. Antonia bore Nero three children, including Germanicus, father of the Emperor Caligula. (In other words, pervy is in my blood.)
